A Sunny Day Adult Living Home is a newly licensed Adult Residential Recovery Rehabilitation Treatment Home. We cater to Arizona Native Americans, by assisting in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other substances.

The purpose of this proposal is to offer treatment to your tribal members. Our recovery model integrates performance-based planning, allowing residents to learn about then choose what program may work for them.  We recognize treatment is not collective, rather it is individual and each person’s road to recovery is their own.

A Sunny Day Adult Living Home goals and objectives are very simple:

A Sunny Day Adult Living Home Recovery Model was developed and adapted through a collaborative effort of TJ Blake and Sergio Morning. Sergio and TJ both recognize that recovery does not stop with a certificate or graduation from a program, rather recovery is an ongoing part of life that is integrated with wrapped around services that include a safe place to live, employment, and paying it forward.

What sets A Sunny Day Adult Living Home apart is the fact that our front-line workers are all in recovery themselves and represent the face of Native American’s.

TJ is a Certified Peer Support, LMSW, and has been deeply involved with 12-Step programs for more than 16 years. He is an Air Force Veteran and has worked with active and former service members for more than 14 years, assisting them in their road to recovery, employment assistance, housing assistance, and overall balance of life. Recently trained as an Intervention Specialist by Hightower Intervention Services TJ is prepared with an evidence base approach to treatment and recovery.

Longtime friend and business partner of TJ, Sergio Morning, MSL. is an Arizona Native, and brings a personal and professional background to A Sunny Day Adult Living Home.  Since being honorably discharged from the US Army (2003), Sergio has worked in the behavioral health field, specializing in mental health and substance abuse recovery, for the private sector and US Veterans.

At A Sunny Day Adult Living Home, we plan on admitting new residents for Day 1 Treatment within the next several weeks and are accepting plans through AHCCCS and Private Insurance. Funds received will be used to integrate a recovery plan that includes mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing through a combination of cultural and evidence-based treatment and recovery.

A Sunny Day Adult Living Home offers 2 residential homes located in Maricopa County, one in Peoria and the other in Laveen. The recovery model integrates performance-based planning, allowing residents to learn about then choose what program may work for them.
